Today I had fun dressing up my daughter in her princess costume. I thought that if baby was here by Halloween we would do a Princess and the Pea theme. So I wrapped baby Calvin up in his green blanket and started the at home photo shoot. Sadly, we have poor lighting in our main room. However I was able to make the most of it and managed to get way too many great shots of my cuties.
I love the idea of a Halloween card, since it captures the moment and creates a keepsake of kids in their costumes. When I was growing up we were lucky if we got a photo standing in front of the door. I plan to create a card of the kids in their costumes each Halloween, what a keepsake to add to their memory albums.
I created this card using the "Violet" birth announcement. When deciding on what card design to go with remember that every design can be modified to work with your photos and tastes.
Happy Halloween!

It's a Boy!
I just wanted to let you know that we had a baby boy yesterday, October 22 at 9:24 am. We named him Calvin Peter, he arrived weighing 8 lbs! Both myself and baby are doing great, here we are 4 hours after the birth. We are thankful for a speedy delivery without complications; just two pushes and he was here! Amazing.
I have decided to keep the shop open as it is a busy business time and I have already realized that it will be easier for me to work a little each day rather than a whole lot at the end of the week. Therefore, if my replies are not as fast as they once were I hope that you understand. I will continue to e-mail proofs within 24 hours of ordering.

Fall and Family
Fall is my favourite season! I love the feelings of a new school year (even though I'm not teaching at the moment), the cripness in the air, the colours, etc. On Sunday my husband and I took our little girl to the pumpkin patch, she loved looking around and checking out all there was to see and do. She is such a social little girl, just like her daddy. Well, Sunday marked my first due date (the second one is on October 27), and still no baby. However, things seem to be progressing in the right direction.
If you send me an e-mail and/ or order and don't hear back from me right away, there is a good chance that I'm having a baby. I will be sure to answer all e-mails/ orders as soon as we return home. Up until the big day, I am still working and completing orders as they come in. It's hard to believe that Christmas is less than two months away!

New Damask Photo Birth Announcements
I love Damask patterns and have been eager to get some damask birth announcements up on the site. I love how these turned out! The strong black and whites lend themselves best to photos with black or dark backgrounds. I look forward to posting a few more and adding damask patterns to our wedding collection.

Moms Aloud Canadian Website
I recently discovered a new Canadian site that I thought I would post about. Since it's still new there isn't a huge number of members, but it's continually growing. It provides a place to meet other moms, post parenting ideas, recipes, etc. Anyways, I would encourage you to check it out and sign up. http://www.momsaloud.com/
Anna & Piotr: Wedding Thank You Card
Congratulations Anna and Piotr! Their thank you card was created with the John and Nadine design. The simple black and white with the extra border creates a classic look and looks great with their colour photos.
Christmas Party Invitations
We are pleased to offer Christmas party invitations this holiday season! We had a special request from a firm to create their invitations and RSVP cards. They had a few Christmas card designs that they really liked that provided the inspiration for the invitations.

Michael & Rebecca: Photo Wedding Thank You Card
I was thrilled when my brother in law and brand new sister in law asked me to create their thank you card. We headed out to BC at the end of June to be a part of their special day. They are a lovely couple in every way! We have felt so blessed to have Rebecca join our family! Having grown up with three brothers I feel like I am finally reaping the rewards by getting sisters.
Michael and Rebecca liked the Amanda and Jason design and wanted a card in that style. Their photos didn't work exactly right with the design, so I came up with a variation. Fading out the top part of the photo allowed the wording to be clearly visible and created a neat effect. We loved how this turned out. Congrats again you two! The photography is by Melody Davis, my talented cousin in BC!

Tristan & Daniel: Photo Baptism Invitations
Tristan's mom was looking for a special way to invite their family and friends to Tristan's baptism. She liked the colours and design of our website and asked if it would be possible to have an invitation with that theme in mind; voila! I hope you have a wonderful baptism Tristan!

Haven: Photo Birthday Invitation
Haven's birthday invitation was adapted from the "Breanne" design. The red chair just didn't work with the original colours, but provided the perfect colour for something bright and cheery. This invitation printed out beautifully. Love all the photos of Haven during the past couple of years. Happy 2nd Birthday Haven!
