Just over a year ago, some of our dear friends baby was born stillborn. When you or someone close to you experiences the loss of a child, your life is never the same. When our second child was born I couldn't help but think of the loss that our friends experienced only a year previous. So many mixed emotions. Each new life is a gift and should never be taken for granted.
Our friends were blessed to be able to have their baby photographed by a Now I Lay me Down to Sleep photographer. NILMDTS is a not for profit organization of professional photographers that connects parents to a local pro photographer to have photos taken of their child. What an incredible gift for parents during such a sad time. I recently came across NILMDTS several times which made me think about what kind of memorial announcements are available to parents to experience such a loss. After much research I learned that there is hardly anything out there on the huge world wide web (at least not that I found). Most of what I found were questions in a variety of forums written by parents, all wondering where to find memorial announcemenets, infant bereavement cards for their baby. All babies are precious and should be announced. It wasn't long before I decided to make infant memorial cards available on the site.
